Gudo van Zijderveld (1951) studied psychology and received his PhD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 1995, where he also completed a master’s degree in Epidemiology. After some time playing drums in a few occasional bands, he turned to writing.

In his work he observes situations with a light touch, where everyday moments sometimes take on an absurd edge, often with a hint of dark humor.
